Matt's Fish Camp Lewes

Good place all in all. The raw oysters were delicious as were the crab claws. The beer menu is good. My wife had the fried oyster sandwich and I had the crab Louie sandwich. I got fries for $2.00 extra. Both sandwiches were sort of on the small side and lacked a lot of meat (especially for the prices). Here’s a tip, don’t bother with the upcharged fries and order the chips. The chips were delicious and the fries were a soggy waste of space and money. There are a few outdoor tables so, you can bring your dog.

Very good food. Ipswich fried clams very good. We had deviled eggs with crab. Egg were good but a tiny piece of crab topped it. Steamed shrimp was very good. Spicy margaritas was very good, hot. Service good too. Will return. Casual atmosphere.

This looks like a typical hidden hole in the wall from the street, but it is really cute and tastefully decorated inside. It is a casual atmosphere with friendly staff. It feels like a typical beach getaway restaurant. They make their own homemade sodas. The menu has alot of choices from catch of the day to scallops, clams, lobster rolls, shrimp and grits or just fried chicken.

Very enjoyable meal here. It's apparently a regional chain or part of a group. It shows - they really know what they're doing decor, service and food wise. We had two different fried chicken meals and they were great.

For a place that specializes in fish, you'll find that the fried chicken is the stuff of legend. Every time we go to Matt's to eat I take a long look in the mirror and I tell myself, listen speed, this time you're getting the fish. A few hours later, I melt into the couch, happy with a belly full of fried chicken. This place is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in town. Move over Touch of Italy. Take a ride Big Fish. Matt's Fish Camp is cash money and here to stay.
