302 The Local

I visited this establishment on Friday 4/19 with my family. We had the pork belly, the crab dip and a few drinks. Later a few more family members arrived and ordered more food. My favorite was the deviled eggs and pork belly. I believe the owners moms greeted our table to make sure everything was going good, she was so nice :) The owner is very vibrant and friendly! I saw him walking around helping with everything and everyone while also making sure all the tables were having a good experience! It was a really good time. We will be back when the weather is warmer to sit outside!

Tried 302 the Local, the first week they opened and everything was great. Had the Tuna Poke and Deviled Eggs, which was easily one of the best bites on the menu. Tuna Poke was great too, served perfectly with crisp chips. Also, had the McCoy Burger and it was one of the best burgers around. The cowboy candy gives a nice bit of heat. Definitely get the feel of a speakeasy walking in. For being only open for about a week, 302 the Local is doing a great job and can't wait to see how they grow over the next few months.

It was a delight dining at 302 the Local this evening! The food was amazing and ambiance was fun for a gathering of friends. First we had the Ahi Poke and Seaweed bowl. Next, we devoured the sticky bourbon pork belly, it was so good! Ordered the Bugsy Burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had here. The bacon with whiskey jam was amazing. Lastly for dessert, we shared the funnel fries with a sweet almost caramel sauce with vanilla ice cream. My favorite was the peanut butter explosion cake. Our server was very attentive and we had so much fun! I would highly recommend everyone check this place out.

I never knew how much this area needed a place like this. I ordered the crab dip and tuna poke because I order both anytime I see it on the menu. Both were fabulous! Crab dip came out with lump on top and was cooked to perfection. Tuna poke had a ton more flavor and was fresher than ever.

Ambience was so satisfying, you will want to take pictures at all angles.

This place knocks it out of the park. Perfect for any occasion. Definitely my new go to!

302 The Local offers a cute atmosphere with a charming bathroom and a nice ambiance overall. The pork belly appetizer was delicious, but the crab dip lacked flavor, especially crab flavor. While it was a pleasant experience to try something new, it didn’t leave a lasting impression for a return visit. I would definitely suggest switching out to new menus or covering them in some sort of plastic encasement. Ours were pretty sticky and had several dried spill marks/food smudges on them. Worth a try for the novelty, but not a must-visit again in my opinion.

To respond to the comment from the restaurant: We saw no such letter, there were 4 of us and none of us saw it. Perhaps it wasn’t on all tables as mentioned. In addition, a 4 star review is hardly poor. In fact, I gave 5 stars for service and atmosphere so I’m not sure why mentioning the staff is young has any relevance here. Constructive feedback should be expected and respected. There were no issues to report, it was just a suggestion. However, based on your response and the underlying tone as I interpreted it, we certainly won’t be back, plastic covered menus or not.
