I believe this place is related to Founding Farmers, which is the location I personally prefer. However, the food here is excellent as well. Everything from sandwiches to burgers to steak and seafood. Good cocktail menu and excellent dessert (donuts). Service my time here was very slow for it not being busy, but they may have been new. If you're in the area, definitely recommend you have a meal at this location. There's something for everyone and you'll leave satisfied.

Good cocktail menu. We ate with group of six people so had chance to try a lot of things in the apps and entree. Every entree is good! Only thing that didn't work out is the dumplings. We had lamb and sweet potato dumpling. The sweet potato dumplings are too sweet and no one at the table like it. Otherwise I love the place.

My favorite restaurant in DC for so many reasons, but these are the 2 main ones:
    1. The food. The food is bomb. Delicious. Ingenious. Even the simplest dishes or apps are out of this world. I can’t get enough of their Ravioli and Fried Chicken & Glazed Donut (their take on chicken & waffles)
    2. How they treated federal workers and city residents during the 35-day shutdown. The day the shutdown ended, the owner came in, stood on top of the bar, expressed his support for federal workers, congratulated us on getting our checks again, and THEN GAVE THE WHOLE PLACE FREE SHOTS OF F&D VODKA TO CELEBRATE THE END OF THE SHUTDOWN. F&D also extended their Restaurant Week menu for an extra week to help us out financially, and added an option to replace the dessert course with a $10 gift card. All of this, despite news that F&D took a 15-20% revenue hit during the shutdown (like many DC restaurants did)

Quality people, quality food, quality drinks.

Wow, what a fantastic restaurant! I can't recommend it enough. Was in town for work with colleagues and decided to give this place a try after checking out the menu online. It's a busy place but very inviting and comfortable. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our server Acadia was particularly fantastic.

We enjoyed drinks, starters, entrees, and dessert and literally everything was delicious. Even my colleague said her ice tea was the best she'd ever had. Everything is homemade...everything.

To give you a sense for how much we enjoyed it...we made reservations for the following night before we walked out the door. Do yourself a favor and go.

    Solid meals and good cocktails.

I brought the family here for a meal while we're on vacation. We all enjoyed the food, I had the beer can chicken. It was tender but there was a lot of bone and just a little chicken. The vegetables were fresh and delicious. My family enjoyed their meals also.

My daughter, the cocktail expert, really enjoyed couple of their drinks. I had an old fashioned, which is my acid test, and it was solid, well-made drink.

The place was very crowded with a whole lot of tables pushed together and it felt like I was just eating right on top of other people. I go back here with friends who are interested, but this is not on my short list of great places to revisit.
