Sat at bar for drinks and nibbles. Good vibe. Barkeep Roger was attentive and personable with excellent suggestions. Their versions of a Moscow Mule and a Cucumber Vodka cocktail were quite good. The Tomato and Basil Pizza was very tasty with a perfect chewy crust. The Scallops with Butternut Risotto was truly SENSATIONAL. Unfortunately for 26 dollars, 4 scallops were not enough. Interestingly, we were told there would be 6 scallops. No explanation was given.
Ate here with kids and a large party overall. Right next to ice skating so convenient location. Excellent service, wide selection. I'd suggest avoiding the sushi, wasn't bad just wasn't great and other dishes like salmon, steak, etc were better. Great cocktails too! Try the tequila crusta, it's off the menu now but delicious.
The Sunday brunch is a must if you are visiting DC or just looking for a great place to eat with friends. The atmosphere is eclectic and adds to the farmhouse feel. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. The waitstaff is friendly and proficient. Be sure and make reservations because it gets very full very fast. I highly recommend coming with an empty stomach because there is plenty to try.
This was a very cute spot in a neat location. The food was interesting and there was a huge selection - it honestly sort of stressed me out because I couldn't decide what to get with so many different flavors and options. My husband had the honey pot fried chicken - it was very good but we were not sure of the price for what he got. I got the brussel sprouts salad with chicken and it was very good. The service was fairly prompt and the atmosphere was nice!
We came during the winter, so we had a delightful view of the ice rink. If the weather were a little warmer, we would've loved to sit outside near the fire pit. My cucumber vodka drink was refreshing and pleasant, but the real star of the night was the fried chicken. The perfect balance of crispy, tender, juicy, salty and sweet was downright sublime. I can't wait to come back!
