Good local bar atmosphere and great food options. I visited in the middle of the week and it was pretty happening spot, mostly with the after-work crowd. Crab cake sandwich is a solid choice. Was impressed with their small whiskey collection too, although it's more of a sports bar than a cocktail spot.
My colleague invited me here for lunch. They provide quality food, salads and sandwiches, at affordable prices...a consistent lunch for 2 will cost about $25. The wait time is also quite short and the service was great. I have been here twice already and still hope to visit.
Cheers of DC. This iconic basement bar is the place to go where everyone knows your name. Not fancy. although with the best bartenders in DC it's the place for comfort and solid drinks.
Great atmosphere and very nice staff! Our food was not great. I had shrimp tacos and they were pretty cold and not a great flavor (shrimp was warm, but not hot, and tasted minimally seasoned) and my husband got fish and chips - tots were delicious but the fish resembled the frozen filet. We didn't get drinks, but I would not recommend this place for dinner based on our meal. Lots of TVs (which is why we went - there was a football game we wanted to watch) and a cute place.
