So fresh, so delicious! Between the 4 of us, we tried many items from the menu. Chicken & waffles, fried green tomatoes, steaks, burgers, desserts, gourmet (and homemade!) juices...all outstanding! Service was fast, knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely a must for either brunch or any other meal! Just make sure you call in for a reservation, as the place gets packed!
Visited the restaurant last week after a long hiatus. It’s not in my regular rotation of restaurants and I never venture out to that neighborhood, so it was nice to go back. The service was great and the food delicious. We got the lollipop bacon and cornbread appetizers. They were wonderful, and I I love that the cornbread has corn kernels in it. I also got the Four Corn Chicken salad, and it was great. It’s full of enough ingredients that you feel sufficiently full after eating it. My friend got the Shrimp and Grits, and well her plate was completely empty at the end of the meal. Think she liked it.
Quite possibly one of the best restaurants in DC. The food is absolutely amazing here, and at a very reasonable price and quantity for DC standards. I recommend the chicken and waffles and cornbread, very good. You must have the dessert, the cheesecake is outstanding as well. Definitely need to make a reservation for lunch and dinner, as it gets very busy during those times. Anyone visiting the district needs to go to this restaurant
We went for a meal to celebrate a birthday, and as usual, had a fantastic meal. Great service, great food, and great value for money. We recommend Founding Farmers to people.
Extremely high standard of cuisine, coupled with great restaurant atmosphere. Very courteous/happy staff. A real pleasure.
I absolutely loved this restaurant so I actually went twice when I was in DC last. They serve great cocktails at a nice bar area downstairs. The main restaurant is upstairs and serves great food with a farm to table concept. I had the shrimps and grits which were very tasty. I can highly recommend their corn bread as well. The staff is super friendly as well.
