Considering it's $20 to get into Mount Vernon on it's own, $49 for the entire cruise + admission package was a great price point. We enjoyed the narration going down the Potomac and loved arriving to Mount Vernon by boat. Would recommend!!!

(August 26, 2018, 2:15 pm)Amazing trip up to visit George Washington's home of Mount Vernon. Really well run operations. Easy to get to via public bus, board and return. Crew is top-rate. Mount Vernon was beautiful. My only request was to have 1 extra hr at destination. My family had to rush through lunch and museum in order to make the boat. There is SOOO much to see there. ☺

(July 13, 2018, 12:06 pm)Very enjoyable! Better by Boat. We decided on the boat to see a different part of DC and take a different route to Mt. Vernon. The boat was clean and bathrooms nice. They did offer pay-for snacks and drinks. During the three hour tour, the guide pointed out several landmarks along the river. However, you only get three hours at Mt. Vernon, which is just enough to get a taste of the massive property, before boarding again. There is an option for a one-way cruise there if you want to stay a little longer and take a bus back to DC (recommended). But I do highly recommend Spirit for a change of pace and view.
