Busboys and Poets

First time visiting Busboy and Poets in D.C. so good I came back the next day! They totally get it...food for everyone! Vegan and meat eaters and finally coexist and it felt great.

The first trip I had the vegan pizza and a side salad with the Yuzu dressing... AMAZING!!!

The next day I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch. I had the vegan "egg" scramble with toast, grits (vegan cheese), veggie sausage and a mimosa. The food was awesome!!!

I wish they had these nation wide. I'm already planning my next trip back! ????

I lived in this area for a while & liked this place for casual weeknight dinners. It isn't quite as packed as it gets during weekend brunch, which is what they are best known for. Everything I've ever gotten there was super delicious, the service is friendly, and the prices were good for the quality. I really love browsing their books.

Busboys and Poets was recommended to my daughter who lives in California then to me in Arizona by a local who clearly knows their D.C. hot spots. Another daughter from NYC joined us and we all enjoyed the place (I don’t know what was so funny, but they were cracking up!). The place was cool, the food was excellent and service was good. Busboys, you have raving fans all over the country! We will highly recommend Busboys and Poets for those who want a cool dining and social experience in DC!

Food was great, service was just OK. The waitress didn't communicate very well. She gave us our menus and immediately expected us to be ready to order. When we weren't ready, she would just leave without saying anything. I know we were there late so I thought maybe the kitchen was closing so she felt rushed. After taking our orders everything went wel, The food came out fast and every dish was very good

I had french toast, fried eggs medium, turkey sausage with blueberries and strawberries. My drink was tumeric and ginger hot tea w/ lemon. Everything was good. Service was fast, the waitress was pleasant. And, more importantly, the food was very good. Also, the price was reasonable and the portion size was filling. We recommend this place.
