Great bar and I love the beer and the steins, but it is LOUD on the rooftop. Maybe it's because the roof was closed that day, but I was there with just one or two friends and we could barely hear each other. I dont expect much in terms of serenity from a popular happy hour bar, but I remember thinking it was particularly uncomfortable.
It’s a good place to have fun with friends or alone. Two guys attended us Christian and Kevin they are amazing. They can recommend you the best German beers. The price is good and also the music. I really recommend the place.
Fun place serving German beers in big half liter and liter steins. It's not cheap and happy hour isn't a very big discount. Food on offer is typical Oktoberfest fare, pretzels sausages and such. The vibe is a little too Oktoberfest-y in general. Not a place to dance even in the evening from what I've seen. An interesting international crowd can gather here, mixed with a lot of young professionals and students.
Google Maps has you going around the corner, for those who have never been. The entrance was easily unnoticeable, but everything was great inside! Plenty of bar space, plenty of dance space, and plenty of draft choices. My visit was mid Oct so the Octoberfests dominated the draft board, and yet I still found my stout to enjoy. Would definitely come again!
Great selection of beers and ciders but the happy hour prices are not good. Would much rather get a cheaper beer somewhere else. Ordered two beers and a cider and the tab was $22, which I think is a little steep for happy hour. Good pretzels though
