Good coffee, great sweets. Will have to come back for dim sum. Based on my quick experience it fills up on the weekend making walk-in coffee space difficult to find if the outdoor areas aren't open. Staff and other guests were accommodating, but a few more bar stools would help.
I'm quite possibly the only person I know that doesn't LOVE Maketto. I find their menu to be quite limited (when you don't like fried foods or lamb) and expensive. I do however, love the overall vibe and layout of Maketto - it truly is an H street staple and one of the most unique restaurant experiences you can have in DC. I've always liked the food I've eaten here, but personally I'd rather visit in the morning for coffee and a pastry which are incredible!
Went here for the Sunday Dim Sum brunch and was not disappointed! You order dishes family style and can share them with everyone at the table. There wasn't a single thing that we ordered that wasn't absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend the fried chicken!
This is a very unique restaurant in the district. The breakfast is great and the dinner is ever better. It has second floor balcony type seating it has a very nice patio. It has two bars. Excellent tea and coffee. They also sell Maketto merchandise, gear you can only get here so if you're into fashion this is also a cool place to visit. They host events here as well like art shows, photo shoots and concerts. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Washington D.C.!
This place has an interesting set up. The clothing line they sell is pretty cool. Awesome little coffee shop upstairs. The baristas are kind & helpful. I really liked their coffee. They have an amazing fried banana dessert. A must try when you visit!
