Fairly fine facility and essential shopping environment.. Do drop by the seating area and peruse the local framed images featured about the main walls.

I love shopping at Harris Teeter. The staff are always friendly and we get great food and some speciality foods you can't get at other stores.

This is where Harris teeter is located, in South East DC and the entrance is on Potomac Ave. There is FREE under ground AND SECURITY GUARDS at both entrances. There is a narrow ramp that leads to both entrances. There is self checkout, bakery, deli, hot foods bar, salad bar, sandwiches to order, wine Dept., Seafood dept, and a fresh meat counter. There is a separate section inside area with tables and chairs and countertops to dine. There is organic foods too. The clerk's are normally friendly and courteous. The store opens at 7:00 am and closes at midnight. They have great sales too. Plus Thursday is senior discount day and an E-vic discount program that you register online for. If you are not satisfied with your purchase they will happily refund your money. Most of the time their products are normally fresh and have long shelf life. That is why I was shocked to see molded turmeric there, which the produce clerk showed me and said it was dried out. Most of the time they would remove something like this but he didn't. I went the next day and it was still there for sale $5.99 lbs. I'm keeping my eye on this for improvement in the quality of the products they sell. I still love shopping at Harris teeter!
