Great simple food. Friendly staff (always). Short waiting time for take away. It worth to drive for some miles to get there, very delicious!!!

I was on vacation and wanted some good food. I looked for reviews. Other places was hit and miss. I found Andrene's Caribbean And Soul food. We ordered oxtails and peas and rice. This meal was the best meal I had in a long time. We had beef and chicken patties as an appetizer, these two was awesome. We stayed and eat in because the music was great as well. We had the pleasure of being served by the owner operater Andrene herself, she was very pleasent to be around. Its safe to say my family and I will be coming back here again.

This is in a safe neighborhood, so come on down and bring the family.

Visiting from out of town and decided to try this place. It was great food and great portions. The owner was the one taking out order and she was awesome! I would recommend this place anytime!

Local staple for Jamaican lunch dinner or takeout. Quick, friendly and clean. Fantastic mac & cheese, collard greens and plantains. Vegetarian friendly. Fresh fish.

The best food is made with love. This space and food are pure love. Food is excellent, curries tasteful & the atmosphere is joyful. We ordered curried shrimp & goat which came with rice & peas & cabbage. All of it was scrumptiously seasoned, the meat was tender, the bones were juicy (3rd world love)...overall everything was delicious!! Only hesitation, know you're about to have some oils in your palate. This place is definitely a DC treasure.
