Calabash Tea & Tonic

Calabash is my favorite place in DC. The teas, tonics, foods and community are fabulous. They are a loving and joyful tribe and I’m happy to be a part of it. However you are feeling, they have something for you. I Enjoy the soups, energy bowls and sweets! If you are gluten free or vegan, they have plenty for you. I’ve come in with migraines and they give me something to ease the pain. Come to Calabash. ????

Very cool/hip tea house. Very friendly staff (really, super nice!). Unique blends and lots of choices. Didn't order any food, so can't speak to that part.

This is one of the first places I visited when I moved to DC from Oakland/Berkeley, and it made me feel so at home. From the cozy bohemian decor, the hanging lamps and the ever-welcoming greeting, "how can we heal you today?" I'm a lifelong fan. It's one of the first places I recommend to my friends and family when they visit. A perfect place to chill after a long day of touring or if you want a home away from home with friendly strangers. And I always get a warm welcome from Sunyatta, Ali, and the rest of her team. The best vegan BLT I've ever had and the most decadent vegan cookie . Calabash4ever

I absolutely love this tea house. I came here to read while I waited on a friend. The best ambiance, friendliest and most helpful staff make all the difference in the world. The kombucha is very good, indeed. Will try the other drinks next time I come for sure.

Love, love, love the tea here! It def lives up to all of the hype. I was having trouble sleeping through the night, but then I tried the Sweet Dreams tea. I sleep all night and feel refreshed in the morning. I can't wait to try some of the others.
