Flavors of India is a hidden gem. This was my first visit, and I fully intend to return. It's quaint yet it has a contemporary interior. As soon as you enter you are greeted and warmly treated. I had their tomato soup on a cold night, and it hit the spot. For my main meal, I had the lamb saag and the garlic naan. It was simply delicious. This is the kind of place that encourages me to eat more Indian cuisine than I normally do. The meal could've easily fed two people. It was hearty and the perfect kind of meal for the kind of day I had and cold weather.
The staff here was so friendly, they had the lunch buffet, and it looked good, but we wanted to try some of their other dishes. The waiter had no problem letting us order and even brought us things to try from the buffet. The eggplant dish was delicious, and the potato stuff bread was definitely worth trying.
Quaint little restaurant with great food and excellent customer service. You can really tell that they want you to enjoy their food and your experience. Our waiter asked all our names and introduced himself. The food was flavorful, I ordered a chicken dish. I would definitely return if I were to visit DC again.
This is a great place for work lunches. We've been several times. We order a bunch of stuff and eat family style. I think they are usually surprised that we don't do the buffet, but we prefer to choose our own dishes. Everything we've had here has been good. We usually have one or two Indians with us and they like it as well. Also, not usually very crowded at lunch! And we've actually found parking right outside every time.
Staffs are wonderful and fast. Food is flavorful, chicken is not over cooked and the lamb is perfectly spiced and swimming in korma sauce. The end contains the standard Indian dishes so depending on your mood you can't go wrong. We order the meat samosa and it was excellent. Strongly recommend getting this. We will definitely be back next time in the neighborhood.
