Ben's Chili Bowl

Oh this place is so good.
I’ve been at all hours of the day and night. Best time to go is after a night of drinking. Line is always long. Chili is always tasty and worth it. Every time I go they keep rising the prices. But again, worth it! I always order too much.
Sometimes you run into celebrities. That’s cool I guess. ????‍♂️

Love this Historic Restaurant. The food is fresh and I enjoyed the tasty half smoke with chili cheese and onions, the crispy fries, delicious milkshake, and topped it with a homemade coconut cake. I will go back soon. I enjoyed as a child and coming back is a pleasurable memory. The staff is very accommodating.

Product quality is very good, customer service is good, and general vibe is good. Favoite item, Half Smoke; favorite time to visit, between 2 and 4 P.M. (everyone is more relaxed and food is being prepared for the evening). Parking is not bad if you do not mind walking a block or two from a side street parking spot.

Chili dogs aren't really my thing, but I enjoyed every bite! Such a fun place to visit, so much to look at and a great menu to choose from. There was no line the day we visited and we got our food quickly!

I ordered the Half Smoke with a small bowl of chili. I thought the Half Smoke was pretty good. The sausage is coarsely ground with chili and cheese on top and a hint of smokey flavor. I thought the chili was too salty for me but maybe some people prefer that amount of salt. My main gripe is that it took almost a half hour of waiting in line to order. I didn't think the long wait was worth it but obviously some people did.
