Cafe Vino DC

We wanted to go to a modest place for my birthday and we chose Cafe Vino on MacArthur. The short ribs were excellent: the meat was perfect, very flavorful and the mash potatoes were creamy and fresh. The fried onion topping was fine, though not to the level of the meat. The only disappointment was the pear & prosciutto appetizer. The pears were hard and tasteless. Sometimes it's tricky to get good fruit out of season, but it shouldn't have been offered. Overall, though, a good experience. We'll be back.

Cafe Vino had great ambiance, while being relaxed and family friendly. Kids LOVED the pizza, and Nick (the owner) was a gracious host. I will be back, and recommend stopping by if you are in the Palisades area.

“Cafe Vino” is very cozy neighborhood Wine 🍷 Bar with beautiful lighting and great ambiance. Pizza is delicious made with fresh ingredients. My personal favorite is spicy lightly fried cauliflower with blue cheese sauce is an excellent appetizer. Owner Nick is very friendly and attentive and goes above & beyond to make sure that the guests will have an amazing experience. The Bar is beautiful and very clean. I will gladly come back again & again.

Tonight was our first visit to Cafe Vino. Dinner surpassed our expectations on multiple levels—genuinely courteous staff that are pleasantly eager to create a wonderful dining experience, our meals, Salmon and Ribs, were creatively presented and delicious, and the atmosphere was stylish and comfortable. Very happy to see a another great dining option in the neighborhood.

As a longtime resident of Palisades, I’m always looking for new local eateries on MacArthur Blvd. Tonight we went to Cafe Vino and were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, service and menu. The food is fantastic — a wonderful array of options. The appetizers are a meal on their own — loved the Brussels sprouts and bacon. Service was impeccable, beautiful large bar if you’re eating or drinking alone or just meeting friends. Had the feel of a high end downtown DC restaurant but without the high prices and lack of parking spaces. I’d highly recommend it.
