King Street Oyster Bar

They are famous for their special oysters, specially during happy hour with just $1. The special price is just for their "house" or local oyster but we found that's the best type of oysters for us after all. Also, during happy hours from 3-6pm, a great selection of food w just $7 each. The service was great and super fast. The place can be packed during busy hours so make sure you plan ahead. Very limited parking so recommend bus or Uber. This is a handicap friendly facility.

When I tell you this place is AMAZING food always comes out fresh and the drinks are perfect and speaking of drinks go see ALI at the bar! This man is good at what he does!! Watched him single handed manage an entire bar full of people during a crazy Friday night rush!! He needs a big raise, was very friendly and always checked on me to make sure I was good no matter how full his hands were! Definitely coming back again and again!

I was glad that we made reservations for Saturday lunch in Middleburg. Those who ordered seafood (shrimp platter, fried oyster platter, and crab cake entree) were very pleased with the seafood. If you don’t want French fries, make sure and ask for a substitute, such as cauliflower mash. The $1 up-charge is definitely worth it.

I ordered the Marinated Thai salad with steak (medium rare). The steak was cooked perfectly, and the greens were fresh and tasty. I’m not sure why the tomatoes and mango were missing. I found a tiny bit of avocado. In the future I would select something else, something with all the expected ingredients. As such, I give it 4 stars, rather than 5.

We placed a larger order (dinner for 6 people) on-line for take-out food right in the middle of happy hour on a beautiful warm Friday night. The service was quite speedy, less than half an hour from when we ordered it. Everyone I interacted with was polite and helpful, even though the restaurant was filled to capacity. The food was really delicious, even after transporting it home, and presented nicely. We have eaten on-site at the restaurant before (we usually prefer off-peak hours) and the food is even better served directly from the kitchen, but it was really great for take-out as well.

We couldn't figure out whether we could order wine to go, so we didn't get to try out that process.
