L'Annexe is a cocktail bar on M Street NW in Georgetown. My wife and I went on Valentine's Day on a Friday around 9:30pm. Although there was a healthy flow of people inside, we found seats at the bar right away.

D.C. is known for their cocktail scene and this one is just average. The staff were friendly, but not attentive at all. We had to ask for our drinks, our check, etc.

Prices are on the pricier side and the cocktails are good, but not the best in the city. If you like sweet drinks, order the light purple Pushing Daisy cocktail. Their version of a negroni is the Ascots and Coats. Both drinks were good.

The decor is a little odd. The front room looks like a hotel bar. The back room is where the magic happens. It's set up like a library.
