Iv been here multiple times and the food is always good and authentic. I always get the enchiladas. Wish more people knew about this place!

Delicious and extremely well-priced food. Top-tier service and a great location to boot. The salsa bar is not watered down, with spicy levels not modified for the American palate (a positive in my opinion). A fantastic restaurant just steps away from the Takoma Metro station. I recommend this establishment without reservation.

Best burritos I’ve had in a very long time (al pastor is phenomenal). Salsa bar is generous, varied, and delicious. Chips are perfectly salty, crisp, and just as good the next day. Call in your order if you don’t care to wait for carefully constructed (and very reasonably priced) quality food. I hope they found a long lasting foothold in TP!

Very nice restaurant. Had a load Taco and it was bomb. Very nice Aesthic. Good Authentic food. Owner is also very nice. Very relaxing tropical vibe. Highly recommended!

Hands down, the best taqueria in D.C. I’ve visited Tacos 5 de Mayo at least eight times since they opened roughly two months ago, I’m slightly addicted. The salsa bar is always a hit - all options are fresh and savory. The chicken tacos are my go-to, I love the spices they use and when topped with cilantro, diced onions and freshly squeezed lime juice, they’re absolutely perfect. I’ll be back again, probably this weekend!
