Ordered pickup through DoorDash. The order took 15 minutes longer than expected, but it was no biggie.
I got eggplant parm, lasagna, and the insalata alla Mediterranea. Eggplant was cooked well and served over thick spaghetti with a nice simple sauce. Lasagna was tasty but wayyyy too salty. The salad was a little disappointing as well. It was just spinach with a few bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and artichokes on top. The vinaigrette was tasty, though.
ok, let me admit up front that i am a pizza fanatic. and like any fanatic i can be a bit extreme...especially when it comes to pizza. i have lived in the district since the late 80's and the search for great pizza which has been a combination of reward and not so much. still continues. one of my best friends used to say ",,,there are two things most people have no idea what's good; marijuana and pizza. he was, and has been right. i ordered this pizza because of the good reviews. i had several choices, but chose Villa tuscana. it was delivery. when it arrived the pizza was lovely, meaning it looked good and appealing. that's about the best thing i can write. it had no smell, except for the faint smell of basil. when it came to the taste, there was none. i was amazed that every component of the pizza was devoid of any describable taste. oh well, i won't say don't try it, but here's how i decide if i'm going to eat a certain pizza or food ever again. try and recall the best pizza you've ever eaten. one day you find out that pizza is no longer available, and the only one left in the world was the one you just ate. if you knew this was the only pizza you were ever going to eat, would you still want it? in this case my answer is, 'no.'
