“Located inside the Smithsonian Castle. A very pleasant and welcome surprise! Touring the museums made easier because it's open at 8:30am, perfect for DC visitors wanting an early headstart. Hot and cold sandwiches. I had the Sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and it was served hot and fresh after about a 2 minute wait. Coffee, juice, soda and water. Salads, fruit cups, chips, power bars and so much more.”

“Excellent meal at fair prices. Our family visited The DC recently and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the chicken & cheese and it was delicious! My son had the tuna salad sandwich and we all traded bites with each other. I loved every mouthful!”

“I loved the choices on the menu although our group was disappointed with lack of seasoning. The waffles had additional items and the plantains were very hard and hardly any yams. My ribs were so dry and hard. Baked beans were hard, those should be easy!! Black eyed peas were mushy and no seasoning. Shrimp and grits were very good. Collard greens were good. Menu was great, quality control is lacking.”

“I mean... Straight up humbling. I felt nauseous at times. But, super informative, and very clean/organized. Spent about 3 hours but wished I had time for more so I could fully immerse myself.”

“Sandwiches is off the chain. Panini loaded with basil and pesto. Cheese melted and dripping off perfectly toasted bread. Was straight addicted to these amazing works of art for a month. Couldn't stop eating them. Go here if you want good food. Register lady was mad sweet and helpful.”

“I enjoyed an omlette here for breakfast over the weekend. It was flavorful, fresh, and had the mushrooms I'd asked for, but weren't normally in the dish (+1 service). It came with well picked greens and bread. Their latte had a mild / average bitter taste, not bad, but nothing special either. The atmosphere is cheery and open. The big table is a pleasant conversational catalyst. I am glad I was not in a hurry because even though my food and coffee came quickly, I waited about 15 minutes to be able to ask for the check.”

“The hot chocolate was awesome. Tastes like they use quality chocolate ???????? I had the bessame as well, sugar and butter all baked up never tasted sooooooooocoo good!! Was a bit crowded on a Sunday afternoon with the Chinese New Year crowd. Have to come back for their other baked offerings!!”

“Good, if a bit expensive hotel restaurant food. Decent menu selection and good crabcake sandwiches.”

“This place is a gem. Excellent service and the food is on par with any place we have been in DC recently. It has all the charm and comfort of your favorite neighborhood spot but is turning out some of the most interesting and exciting dishes in the city right now. Small curated wine list with some fun cult-y labels and varietals. Plus, a knowledgeable staff that you can tell truly knows and enjoys their craft.”

“Best brunch in Adams Morgan! In addition to being a great music venue and cafe, Songbyrd also has an EXCELLENT brunch. As an Adams Morgan local, I have been coming here for 3 years and have never been disappointed. Everything on the menu is consistently great and well priced, and the staff here gets to know you for a warm local feel.”

“The most alluring part of the coupe is that it is whatever you need it to be. It's a breakfast diner when you are craving a warm breakfast on the weekends in winter. It's the place to meet friends for happy hour after a long day on the job. It's the place meet up for late night coffee to talk when life is going hard. It's the place for everyone. With it's simplified menu and extended hours, there is no occasion the coupe can't handle. The food is good too.”

“This McDonald's has been a staple in Adams Morgan long before the hipster restaurants moved in. Because of its age, it felt a little outdated until they renovated it. Now it's one of McDonald's newest cafes with better design, more open space, and a crisp look. It also feels cleaner. They have all the regular McDonald's menu items. Unlike other McDonald's, when you ask for "extra, extra hot fudge" with your sundae, they actually give it to you! This McDonald's is also great, because if you leave the nearby fancy restaurants with less money and not full stomachs, you can supplement here with a $1 McChicken sandwich.”

“Now this is a good place to as long as it's not down there by the Navy Yard if it's the one across from the CVS at the Navy Yard that place they really need some etiquette in there they don't treat their customers fair and even and they act strange toward black folks”

“Excellent cocktails and a fantastic whiskey list. I cannot overstate how good the cocktails are. Novel, complex, and nowhere near sweet (unless that's what you want.) Great bartenders, too. The space is a bit cramped, but don't let that turn you off, there's outdoor seating when the weather cooperates.”

“First time coming to this one but I had gone to the sister bakery and cafe in Georgetown so I had some high expectations. They definitely surpassed them. I had a bomb BLT which I hadn't had in a really longtime and enjoyed a black ginger tea. Over all pretty good customer service and enjoyed the ambiance. I will say that the background music is a little loud good music but maybe a little too loud for me. I will try this place let again though.”

“Busboys and Poets was recommended to my daughter who lives in California then to me in Arizona by a local who clearly knows their D.C. hot spots. Another daughter from NYC joined us and we all enjoyed the place (I don’t know what was so funny, but they were cracking up!). The place was cool, the food was excellent and service was good. Busboys, you have raving fans all over the country! We will highly recommend Busboys and Poets for those who want a cool dining and social experience in DC!”

“Our service was very slow. Instead of providing counter service and waiting on us immediately, we were told to sit down to order, which then took almost 20 minutes to fullfil a smoothie and coffee order. Not sure that is the best way to do business, otherwise wise it was a cool place. Just very slow service.”
