Downtown Wine and Cheese

Love this place! Great food, wine, and atmosphere!

It's exactly what you would expect! An adorable old house converted into a wine shop that has a great outdoor patio! The wine selection was great as well as the cheese selection. We came before dinner so we only got a small platter, but there were many options to choose from. We were here early so there was no one else here but I'm sure as the evening goes on, the patio will fill up. As we were leaving there was a jazz musician setting up to play live music! We will be back!

The owner - Maude - knows her wines, knows her cheeses, can make great recommendations, has a fantastic selection of wines, cheeses, meats, fruits and jam, and kept up a conversation (since I was asking questions) during my first visit here.

For those who are fans of wine dives, or passing through Vino Volo in an airport en route to somewhere else, this was a great experience to sit down and have some wine and a cheese selection with some tasteful classical music playing in the background quietly.

While I wish the owner the kind of success that will let me come back for years to enjoy her store in peace, I also hope this stays the kind of under the radar bliss that I've just discovered, without the noisy pedestrian traffic and music drowning out the beautiful reflection that comes with savoring a variety of cheeses and wines together.

I enjoyed my evening here after graduation at UF. Wine selection was nice and the owner offered her suggestions. We got one of their charcuterie boards which was plenty for 3 people to snack on. We sat outside in the garden and fortunately stopped by on a night with live jazz. It was a enjoyable and unique experience that i would recommend for date night or something to do before dinner downtown.
