Great korean food! They have a nice menu selection..... if you're unsure of what to order, the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean. Parking is easy. Very convenient location. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something out of the ordinary!

the dish i tried wasn't quite to my palate (my problem-NOT the restaurant's!,) and the beer selection was limited, otherwise I'd give a full 5 stars.

went on Sunday afternoon so the place was empty. The staff took the opportunity to impress without being overbearing.

if you're unfamiliar with traditional Korean cuisine, ASK QUESTIONS before ordering. The portions are heavy handed, so plan on either sharing or bringing home leftovers.

My go-to and favorite Korean restaurant in Gainesville!

We came to Garlic & Ginger on a Thursday night and were kindly greeted by the staff. My bf and I wanted to try something new and our waiter suggested the flaming pig special - spicy stir fried pork with veggies. I asked if we could have it mild and it was the perfect level and SO delicious. A lil pricey but worth it. Besides that, we always get the classic spicy tofu soup but we also wanted another dish. We noticed a combo deal of both the kalbi and spicy tofu soup for about ~$12 and I'm glad we got it. All of the dishes we ordered were great for 2 to share. Also the side dishes are refillable for free, just ask!

I definitely see myself coming back again and trying something else different next time! Highly recommend checking this place out.

This is a Korean restaurant. Food and service are excellent. I don't remember the names of the dishes but everyone of us (4), ordered different things and we were pleased. Rations are huge, they have some dishes that are for two, ours were simple but two people could have perfectly eaten from them. Highly recommend.
