Yamato Japanese Restaurant

Our hibachi chef was amazing! Very interactive with us and even let some of us *attempt* the skills. Food is always excellent at Yamatos. Reservations are a must because wait can be very long. It is a great place for special events with friends and family. Pictures are the vegetarian sushi rolls and tofu/rice/veggies.

Absolutely great experience at this restaurant!! If you can request Arthur as your chef! You won't be disappointed. The food and conversation is great. Arthur made our experience amazing with his personable attitude. Will be coming back because of him!

Food was really good! I am recently new to eating dumplings, and Yamato has some good pork dumplings. I got mine steamed, but plan to try them fried next time.

My server was Lucy. I knew her as an old coworker, and it was great to see her again. She provided great service and was on top of everything with everyone.

Ordered my steak rare, it got it exactly rare and it was delicious. Also the ginger sauce is really good. A lot of places just have the ginger dip, but I'm glad Yamato uses the ginger incorporated into a soy sauce base. Goes great on the rice, topped off with the yum yum sauce even better.

Server was extremely polite. When told a group of 35 had just come in she staged our orders so we received our soup and salad at an appropriate interval should the chef be delayed.
She also asked everyone at the table celebrating a birthday if they wished to be sang to. Both I and the other birthday guest at the table declined. I appreciated that!
A great Japanese steakhouse and one I frequently visit.
