Caribbean Spice

We followed our nose and ended up eating here for lunch. What a treat it was. The owner Chris and the rest of the crew were extremely accommodating as well as inviting. This is a one off, family owned restaurant with a limited specialty menu. This is a good thing because quality, efficiency and prices suffer when there are too many items on a menu. Too many restaurants make this tragic mistake. Having an extensive culinary background myself, I believe they are doing an excellent job. We ordered the large jerk chicken plate and a beef patty. The price was very reasonable and it fed two of us well. Please note I was anxious and ate some of the chicken before I took the picture. The large comes w/two drumsticks and two thighs.

Honestly, I'm a Gainesville native currently living in Seattle, and when I come home to visit, this is my go-to. Cabbage and beans and rice is so good, food is definitely seasoned with the best spices. Love me a spicy beef patty, if they are any left.

The food is decent. The curry goat was quite good but the jerk pork could've used a little more flavor. Service was fine as well. Would've given 3 1/2 stars if I could.

Just went here for the first time today. Very fair price for the amount of food they give you. Quite good as well. I highly recommend the jerk chicken. Will be going back!

Food is always amazingly good and always fresh. Every time I walk in they greet me with a smile. I just tried the curry chicken today and I fell in love! If you want an awesome lunch or dinner this place is a must. I’ve very happy and I will definitely keep going back to this store! Thanks for the great food!!!
