Runaway Island

Oh my gosh! What a delicious place to eat! I had the swordfish with citrus cream and jumbo shrimp with steamed veggies and my husband had the fried grouper with shrimp and fries. As an appetizer we had the tuna dip. It was all so delicious and we had a wonderful table outside. The ladies at check in were very nice and helpful and our server, I believe his name was Delan, was excellent! We will definitely go here again and I highly recommend!!

A bit packed. We were under the impression it was reservation only, but we get there and walk-ins are welcome. Which is great,we just wanted some place to sit inside and the seats we reserved for inside were not available and we're told we needed to wait or go outside. So we (having been driving all day and very tired and ready to get home) ate outside. Not a good idea. Very cold. our server was okay. She did give me a 20$ bill and 1$ bill as my change back on a check for 59$ in attempts to get me. Did not happen. Did not receive any refills. THE FOOD HOWEVER WAS DELICIOUS. Definitely average service. But great food.

Yum!! Most amazing Caribbean chips and shrimp scampi dip ever [two separate appetizers]! Parmesan crusted flounder over cheddar potatoes - one of my top 3 favorite meals all week - SO DELICIOUS!! MUST TRY!! Restaurant has a beautiful pier if you want to eat outside. Bathrooms are nice and clean but one stall only. Lots of seating. Servers are very professional and friendly. Hostesses are super friendly and funny. I wish we had a restaurant like this in Indiana with $13.00 lunch specials like the flounder!!

Runaway Island is perfectly prepared for large volumes of tourists. They have a huge capacity, with lots of servers. The parking lot is small, but they have two nearby locations for overflow parking, which can handle the capacity. They have nice views, and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The food was delicious from the fish tacos to the swordfish and the chicken fingers. Definitely recommend

Nice restaurant. Very good fish, I had the salmon bowl and my wife had the Parmesan flounder. Both very good. The mashed potatoes were classy and the French fries were crisp and delicious. The wine was tasteful as well. Thank you
