Finally got around to trying Harrison's after hearing good things and see what looked like a pretty decent menu. Visited on a Sunday morning for brunch and the place wasn't too busy with no wait for tables and plenty of open seats at the bar. Place definitely looked fresh and loved the fact it's right on the water.
I opted to order the Scramble Stack. The description lists all sorts of things I like, and I'm thinking this will be some sort of tasty scramble bowl type of dish. In the end, I found out what they meant by stack, and I get it now. Eggs on toast covered with bacon, sausage, and cheese. But when it came it out it wasn't the fact that it wasn't the presentation that I wasn't expecting, but just that it looked just quite sad. More like something one might expect someone to thrown together in a college dorm room on the cheap.
I saw some of the other dishes that looked pretty decent, so maybe this one is just an outlier. Anyways, I'll probably give this place another try, but would recommend getting something else on the menu if here for brunch.
What a delight to have a new, clean and airy place - right on the St Andrews Bay! It’s so beautiful and it has outdoor dining. We had an excellent lunch. The crab and corn bisque was scrumptious and the cranberry, almond and feta cheese superb with crisp Bibb lettuce!! The hamburger was grill!! Perfectly with a grilled in butter bun. We love this place and will be back.
PS. The bathrooms were very clean and well stocked.
Food and atmosphere was good but the service could have been better. Came by on a weekend and they had live music. The host was not very friendly and almost rude. But after we got to our table the service improved. The server was pretty attentive but again not very friendly. The food was pretty good and the bread pudding was great. The live music was good and the place is clean and bright. We would try this place again.
This place is amazing! It is new and for months they will be working out kinks. We didn't have any problems at all with the service, food or drinks. Our server was amazing (wish I could remember her name, but she does have red hair and super sweet), our food was very good and the drinks were great. My husband said it was the best Margherita he has ever had. We tried the tuna dip which was very very good. He said the gumbo was the best he's had and he gets it everywhere we go. I had the tacos. They were full of Mahi (enough to fill at least one more taco, maybe two) and the flavors were great! We will definitely make this one of our regular stops!
Overall a good experience. Our server was fantastic. The restaurant itself is beautiful though I wish the marina was still active. I ordered a bloody Mary that was outstanding. We shared an appetizer of the sausage balls they were honestly dry, they tasted like biscuits and gravy without the gravy for $9.00 the quantity was fine quality not so much. The rest of our food tasted pretty good and was presented well. I was disappointed that only brunch is served until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and lunch is 2 until 4, we sat at 1230 expecting lunch. The side potatoes I wish were crispy personally instead they had an oily texture to them and lacked flavor and were over cooked. Overall I'm interested in going at least once more to try lunch or dinner, I wasn't thrilled with brunch, the views and ambiance was best.
