Pit Stop Barbecue

My wife and I went to Panama City for a few days to look at retirement possibilities. After driving all day we were hungry. We wanted BBQ, so we Googled a place that was close to our AirBnB. We ordered online and drove over to pick it up. When I walked in it smelled like a BBQ joint is supposed to smell. They gave me my order of pulled pork and smoked pork chop, with sides and dessert, and as I was about to leave Mama Shirley walked in with a 7-Up cake. I already had 2 famous Mama Shirley banana puddings in my bag but I promised to coma back in a day or two. The pulled pork and smoked pork chop were incredible. The banana pudding was some of the best we've had.
A couple days later, on a Sunday, we went back and the owner outside smoking some meat. They were closed, unfortunately, but he remembered me and they gave us two pieces of Mama Shirley's 7-Up cake.
They are so nice, the BBQ is some of the best we've ever had and we HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the PCB area. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped in this past Sunday and had a pulled pork sandwich and potato salad. The pulled pork was great both with and without bbq sauce and the potato salad was some of the best I've had.

The owners here are also very friendly. In addition to serving up great food, they also recommended some places to visit around the area.

Will definitely stop in here again.

You can tell how much love goes into this BBQ. The brisket and pork chops were so good. Sides were great, as well. Grabbed some cake for dessert and I’m glad we did! Owner was so kind and even made sure we left with something to drink!

Mom and I swung by here and it was fantastic. Super friendly staff! Due to shortages and Bike week, they were out of ribs and brisket, but the pulled pork and smoked pork shops were great. The pulled pork was some of the best I have had. Flavorful, smoke, and super moist. The sides were also fantastic, especially the beans!

We just made a drive from CO to PCB to bring a vehicle down to live at our place here. We stopped in Wichita, Memphis, and Birmingham to sample the local BBQ and surprisingly, the end of the trip at Pit Stop was by far the best! I smoke my own at home and this was the bomb. Can't wait for some ribs and brisket! We will be back soon!
