Tally-Ho Drive In

I normally love Tally Ho and it is a long-time institution in Panama City, but today was not good. I got my husband a two piece pork chop dinner with beans and fries for dinner, plus rolls, and that was good. The pork chops were perfectly fried--just needed a little salt and pepper. But, I got myself a regular cheeseburger and a regular chocolate milkshake and it wasn't good. The cheeseburger tasted fine but it was stone cold. The cheese wasn't even melted! I waited a long time for the food to come out and this was after 1 PM so it wasn't really lunch hour. I waited even longer for the milkshake and when I finally got it, the chocolate syrup wasn't mixed in it and it tasted fishy. I didn't realize until I had already driven away so I ended up throwing it out, which is disappointing when it cost almost $5. I'll go back to eat there because normally everything is good, but I probably won't get a cheeseburger or milkshake again for a long while, if ever. And, twice now, they have had no potato salad! I guess they're having supply chain and workforce issues like everyone else and I understand that, but my milkshake shouldn't taste like fish. 🤮

This place has been a staple in this community for over 50 years or at least as long as I can remember I'm not far from 50 the Cuban sandwich is the best I've found sweet tea is what sweet tea should taste like the curb service is fast and the car hops know the menu and know what you mean when you have no idea what your trying to say I'm not sure why I don't eat here more often
Would receive six stars if Black Off Roof Cleaning/Soft Wash was hired to clean and sanitize the property.......
Although the property has always been very clean they have no issues in this area

What can one say about Tally-Ho except if you haven't been....GO. Killer burgers, best crinkle cut fries around, chicken livers, yup...they got I'm and they are awesome. Chicken, Cuban Sammy, and on and on. And if you call ahead in a hurry, your order will be ready for pick up when u arrive. And the servers...down to earth, kind, friendly, tip them double...they are worth it! Fresh, fresh, fresh. **HUGE SHOUT OUT TO JEREMIAH ❤️. This young man worked during the covid school shut down and he is intelegant beyond his teen years, witty, funny and so naturally customer service oriented. I was impressed by this fine young man.

Amazing cheeseburger! Definitely the best I have had in a long time.
