I just found out this is the old Murdocks from cocoa village. The FOOD is amazing. The ATMOSPHERE, freaking amazing. And the overall building is BEAUTIFUL. The southerner is my favorite burger, he got the Mac n cheese and it was also very very good. This place has got it going on! New favorite restaurant, yet again. So glad I finally found y’all.
This was my first time here. My mom and I went here for dinner. They have both inside and outside dining options. We ate outside in their large covered area. The atmosphere was friendly, our server was now than efficient and super friendly, and three food was delicious. We also didn't wait long for anything. I'd definitely go back.
Can't really speak to full dining experience. Sat outside and it was very loud. Hard to have conversation. I only had black-eyed pea stew. It was good. Service was good. Would have to try again. Unfortunately, I can't eat a lot of things available at restaurants. The pizzas looked good and the fish dip appetizer looked good.
This used to be the old Murdochs Southern Bistro who moved a little west and north from their previous position in the south village here in historic downtown Cocoa.
Their food is still of the highest quality and as interesting as always.
Must haves to tries are:
the hot and fresh pork rinds,
the lobster mac&cheese and anyone of their super great salads.
Service was excellent and the wait times nearly non existent. Not sure how they manage to get food this good, out that fast, but they seem to have found the magic sauce.
For sure worth the drive over the bridge for us and a new (old) favorite in the cute little village on the Indian river waterfront.
If you’re looking for a southern modern experience with tasty food, generous portions, and creative cocktails! Come here. They were slammed on a Friday night, but wonderful Mackenzie went out of her way to suggest two open seats at the back bar. Grateful she did because our reservation wasn’t called for another two hours. Amanda behind the bar made wonderful suggestions, and we accidentally filled up on all the appetizers, and couldn’t start or finish our entrees! Fried artichoke hearts were to die for *drools* Granted food took awhile (duh they were slammed) but it did come out steaming hot, and was worth the wait. Not only was the food top tier, but you could see that the Tin Whiskey staff were/are team players. Especially, Taylor who went out of her way for us multiple times and didn’t have to. She made use of herself behind the bar, and in front. Catering to guest, making drinks, running food, and offering her help wherever it was needed. Great job & better food! If you’re a Karen come during the week when it’s less busy, but we’ll be back! :)
