Amici's Italian Restaurant - The Chef's Table

I went for dinner with my wife. For a place with such high prices, the service was not what you expect. They had a large group and our meal took a long time, we were there for over 2 hrs.
The food was not as good as I expected. An order of sautéed mushrooms was not very flavorful, I had a “special” Chilean Seabass with a few pieces of lobster, and rice, it was good, but definitely not $60 good! Lobster Ravioli were good.
We had a $100 gift certificate and when I paid the tab with it and my credit card, the server in a very unfriendly way came back and said “your card was only $50 even though it said $100 written with a sharpie.”, I was not satisfied with his answer and then he said he would get the manager, after 10 min waiting the waiter came back saying that I was right and that he had “punched the wrong numbers for the card” . His approach in general was not very friendly and in a place with prices like that, I definitely expect nothing less than amazing service.
I have been to fine restaurants in other cities in this country and overseas, quality of food and service are not always tied to the price you pay but definitely very close.
I will not be returning to this restaurant.

One of the best meals in town. If you can make it to a wine dinner, you will not regret it!

Exceptional food; Adrian is fun, friendly, & makes great drinks and Chad is the server we request every time we go! This is our favorite place for fine dining with a semi casual atmosphere.

We walked in not knowing it was best to make reservations but they fit us right in with a smile. Wow Wow Wow what an incredible meal. The Lobster Bisque was the best I’ve ever had and the Lobster Max & Cheese makes you want to lick the bowl. We also ordered the ribeye and the duck entree, I will be back soon, it was around 200.00 for two including the 20% tip for great service.

The food was pretty good. In NJ they would get about a 3+. But, a nice change from Florida "usual" cuisine! The waitress was exceptional... Attentive and Fun! Portions, though pricey for Fl, are big and sides are included in price! Long wait on weekends
...might never wait that long again for the food, but it was a special birthday and all went well!
