Metro Diner

This place really surprised me. When I hear diner I think greasy spoon. Metro diner is far from that, but still has down home favorites that entice your taste buds. I had the shrimp and grits which is the best I've had. The fried grit patty was still moist and yummy. They almost tasted like pimento cheese with the sauce. Shrimp were tender and well cooked. The side salad and tea were top notch. Was surprised by the size and weight of my desert when I brought it home. Overall food was filling and great quality. Can't wait to go back for breakfast.

Really interesting cheeseburger they have here. It's a burger sandwiched between 2 grilled cheese. It's really rich and good. My husband had something else that looked good but more on the usual side of a diner. Still a great place to come check out.

Tonight my husband and I feasted here. My "red, white and blue yo halla" was out of this world. The waiter asked if I needed anything else but I couldn't talk with my mouth stuffed. I enjoyed every single bite and left the restaurant so full I wanted a ride to my car. Oh, how wonderful. Melt in your mouth cream cheese stuffing with fresh blueberries and strawberries. My husband ordered fried chicken, I think, but I was so involved in my food that I didn't come up for air till I was finished. The waiter asked if we would like some dessert. I looked at him and laughed. "Not another bite, here" is all I could say. this restaurant is worth the time, effort and a empty stomach if you attempt to come here. Worth any wait. Great food. Delicious.

Great food. Awesome service. The cooks even ask how the food was. This should of been a 5 rating but the person delivering the clean dishes dropped it to a 4. I made them aware of what I saw and I think they corrected it immediately. The way that place runs, I doubt I witness what I did again.

My husband and I dined here for breakfast and what a treat it was! Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I ordered the croissant French Toast which was scrumptious. The serving portions are of good size and could possibly be shared. The service staff and cooks have elevated this diner to "five star status" with their attention to detail, guests, and great food. We will definitely return in the near future. By the way, thanks Scott for the coffee "to go".
