It's always a good idea to make a reservation at Salt & Sweet. Excellent food ... reasonable prices ... decent service. I would recommend this restaurant.

This authentic Polish restaurant is absolutely one of the finest restaurants in Melbourne. The staff is both friendly and discreet, and the food is amazing! On our latest visit there, we started with the escargot and pierogis. I had the lamb loin and he had a chicken breast that was pounded flat and breaded (I forget what it was called). Save room for dessert, even if means you need a to-go box or three.

I really thought that the food at Salt & Sweet was terrific and definitely a place people should check out. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out at a great temperature and had great flavor. I can't give this place 5 stars because I thought the server was actually rude and quite indifferent with the service. Perhaps she was just in a bad mood or something, but really the only reason this isn't a strong 5. Still would recommend this place to anyone, perhaps you'll get better service than I.

We enjoyed wonderful dinners, with a friendly and attentive staff. Great selection of polish beers and wines. Charming ambience with nice selection of ethnic music. We will definitely return to try some of their other offerings. Don't miss the opportunity to try this hidden gem.
