Junkanoo Island Kitchen and Rum Bar

Nice location on the water at the Port, nice ambiance and good service. My shrimp sandwich was quite good and I really enjoyed the fried plantains however my husband's pork dinner was disappointing. He said the pork was tasty but needed a different sauce than the pork gravy provided. Not very Caribbean in his opinion.
This place is definitely worth a second chance and I'm sure we'll try some of their other dishes to see if they are more to our liking.

It’s a delightful place, a great location and a fun vibe. I had the Covina fish in banana leaf and found it to be just OK. The banana sauce tasted like banana pudding And was served on the side.?? The peas and coconut rice side was dry and bland but the fried plantains were delicious. A restaurant that bills itself as Caribbean Food and is pricey really needs to get it right.

Can't wait to go back! Not your everyday food! Excellent Caribbean food choices. Decor just fantastic! Music makes you want to get up and dance. Great service! 5 stars!

Absolutely delicious with a great view of the water and the cruise ships. You MUST order the mac and cheese. Don't let the habanero in the description scare you, there really isn't any spice. Our server (Sarah, I think) was delightful and took great care of us. If you see Carlos behind the bar, he takes better care of you if you call him by his stage name "DJ Lumpy Los".

Simply amazing. The decor is clean and fresh but the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the smell. Incredible.
I'm not a huge fan of Caribbean spices however.... the Caribbean burger was to die for.
Order the mac n cheese. Just do it. Dont be swayed by the habanero. I cant handle spicy food but this had just enough kick to wake my mouth up and make me want more.
I'm excited to visit again and keep exploring the menu.
