Double D's BBQ

Double D's catered for my work event of 140 people. Wendy was a pleasure to deal with. The food was amazing! Pulled chicken, pulled pork, beans and coleslaw, everyone is still talking about how good the food was! We will definitely use them again next year for our event. Keep doing what your doing!

Picking up my dog from the groomer and getting out of my car was hit with this amazing smell!! Having lived in NC most of my life I knew immediately it was smoked BBQ!! I just moved here after living in WY the last 5 years, who by the way know nothing of SOUTHERN BBQ, and knew I needed that fix. I’m here to tell y’all it did not disappoint!! It was out of this world, totally awesome!!! Those folks let me try it before I bought it which was what I call true southern hospitality. Double D’s is a must try if you love BBQ!!!! Thanks guys

The food is delicious, BBQ is amazing... I've tried several different meats and love them equally. We've tried the sides of fried Okra, Mac and Cheese, Baked beans and coleslaw so far, all very good. The sauces are delicious, if you want to kick it up they will bring you hot sauces that are HOT! Service is great and very friendly. The only reason I give 4, not 5 stars, is that the last 2 times we've been there, they have been out of red wine on a Friday night. The first time, we stayed and I drank water, second time we left and went somewhere where I could have a glass of wine. I don't like beer. (no liquor served here) We will be back, but i will call ahead to make sure I can have a glass or 2 of wine!

I thought this place was going to be my go-to restaurant for barbecue.
After having their brisket one time it was good the second time it was below average and appeared to be baked or pressure cooked.
There is a smoker outside but I have never seen it being used anytime that I pulled up I don't know if that is for display or just their catering.
I consider myself a crazy BBQ fan and have eaten BBQ in South Carolina North Carolina Memphis Nashville Texas Colorado New Mexico Miami.
On the fun side I do like the way their restaurant is set up and the staff is very friendly.
I think the prices are commensurate with the amount of food that you get and would recommend the pulled pork as the top selection on their menu.
I actually went there as a choice for my birthday dinner and have not been back since.
After seeing the reviews of barbecue fans I probably will go back and support this business again.
I remember the sauce as good. I like a little more vinegar-based sauce but their sauce definitely fits the meat they fix.

Being from Memphis, home of the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest & some of America's greatest barbecue restaurants, it's been hard to find any restaurants in Central Florida that can measure up. We took a chance on Double D's on the way back from St. Lucie after reading all the positive reviews. There's no doubt that it's the best we've had since moving to Florida. The pulled pork was smoky & the sauce was a good combination of sweet & spicy. The mac & cheese was incredibly cheesy, but not wet & sloppy like a lot of places. Even the garlic bread was perfectly toasted with the right amount of butter & garlic salt. The signature sandwiches added a unique touch & my wife really loved the Yankee. Additionally, ther portions were large, the food came out quick, & the price was fair. Overall, we had an excellent experience. We'll definitely be back the next time we drive through.
