Charlie's Fish Fry & Seafood

We really enjoyed our lunch. My husband and I had: the fried conch with steamed vegetables , the fried cod fish with fries. Our son had the lobster bisque and the Rock Shrimp and he wouldn’t stop saying how good his shrimp was! (Of course he sent a pic to his friends). The food was very good, the place very relaxed, cute and clean. I highly recommend and we will certainly go back.

My husband and I have driven past this place many times. Tonight we were in search for something new to try & I was really in the mood for fresh seafood. I came across Charlie’s on Yelp reviews which had 4.6 stars. We decided to give it a try. There were several people in and out of the restaurant when we arrived around 7pm. Thursday features a lobster roll with side for only 10.95. Although the roll is six inches, it was overflowing with lobster meat and served on a delicious buttery roll. The fries were crispy to perfection. The coleslaw on the side of my roll was fresh and delicious with not too much mayo. We tried the lobster bisque with oyster crackers which was fantastic!! I have to give it to Charlie for owning the restaurant and serving/socializing all of his customers. We were too full to try any more after having bisque, hush puppies, mahi tacos, & lobster rolls — but we are excited to return and continue trying more fresh Florida fish in the very near future! :)

I’ve been looking for a seafood “dive” that won’t break the bank. If you’re looking for good fried seafood like they do on the gulf, this is the place. Clean, good service, plenty of condiments and beautiful fried scallops. Give Charley a nickel and he’ll give you a real sized cup for water. Fried clams were great and the coleslaw was the best I’ve had in a long time. Thanks!

OUT OF THIS WORLD! The Rock Shrimp weekend special for $16.95 for a POUND, was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, it’s like eating sweet little lobsters. My friend had the scallop roll with really crispy, French fries. They were worth the splurge. I keep dreaming of the rock shrimp, I think I visit again today.

My father, son, and I went here today for the first time and.....it was fantastic!!!! We tried a bunch of things....the Ipswich steamers (that came in this morning), rock shrimp, fried Ipswich dinner that came with fries and coleslaw, fried calamari, fried octopus, and the lobster roll! It was all super fresh and super yummy! Charlie was there and he was extremely friendly and gracious to us. The restaurant was spotless and the seafood was amazing!!!!! We can not wait to go back!!!
