IL Paesano Italian Gourmet Food Cafe, Deli and Wine Market

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this mom and pup Italian ristorante. I ordered seafood linguine. The source is not as heavy as other typical Italian restaurants yet very tasteful. The reason It failed short of my five star rating is the linguine that felt undercooked. I spoke with the owner who explained to me that’s the way is supposed to be. Any native Italians can attest to it? Also I am not impressed by the house red wine although it got a wall of Italian wines. Next time I should pick a bottle straight from its shelf.

This is one of your higher end Italian dinner choices. It’s also a grocery and carry out store. Dining is in a variety of charming books and crannies and the wine cellar. A nifty gimmick is letting the patrons wander into the wine room and grab their own bottle. This isn’t typical heavy sauce and pasta Italian. More seafood and meats in light savory sauces are on the menu. It’s all amazing, delicious.

If you are looking for quality Italian cuisine plus great service and ambience… this place is WONDERFUL! You will absolutely enjoy the great taste of the food with a good wine. The desserts were light and perfectly smooth tasting without the excessive sugar! A family of 8 felt at home in the care of the amazing Marta, the gentle mannered Chris, Paola the owner a total professional at her craft and the amazing Vergilio. All of them will share their special charisma with you from beginning to the end. We are definitely grateful to know that there are places like this who offer quality all around.
