Awesome lunch today at the official Oktoberfest event in Fort Liquordale. The staff service was impeccable. The music and atmosphere was immersive. There was a large group enjoying a reasonably priced delicious serving. Thank you Old Heidelberg for keeping German traditions alive.
Authentic and traditional German and European foods. Great selection of meats and solid and quality seafood as well (try rainbow trout). Awesome selection of German beers as well. Live music on the weekends. Fun and cozy old fashioned place that I have been coming back to for over 15 years. Recommend!
The food is totally homemade by real Germans, they are very polite and friendly, the food is the best I have ever had.
The meat was so delicious, the mashed potato was deliciously creamy, the sauerkraut was a really new experience for me, but it was totally incredible. The size of the meal is huge, I couldn't finish it, but every single bite was totally worth it, this is a really must have food.
The place is decorated old German style, very comfortable and warming, with really good German music.
Definitely is a have to get back experience.
Came here for lunch on a weekday. Place was about 3/4s full, bar was pretty empty (they serve lunch and dinner at the bar as well). It is decorated like a typical Bavarian restaurant, which I thought it was cool.
Dishes are very tasty, portions are hearty - to say the least - , and I was served very quickly.
For beer drinkers there seems to be quite a good beer selection to choose from.
Prices are decent and service is very friendly and prompt.
If there's only one negative thing about this place is that it is a bit outdated and could use some renovations. Otherwise, it is worth visiting. There's plenty of parking, and it is easy to access from SR 84.
