Pomperdale - A New York Deli

My fiance and I love this restaurant!
We've only been inside to eat a few times (and, enjoyed the deli atmosphere and staff tremendously!), but we've had food delivered from here dozens of times. From the soups to the cookies, and every sandwich in between, we have always had a great experience!
Order the sandwiches as you prefer them. The corned beef is excellent, whether you prefer it as is, or lean. Same with the brisket. The breakfast egg sandwiches are the best! The Panwich is a messy delight! The Jody and Reuben are worth every calorie!
The owners, Rick and Brie, are a wonderful father/daughter team. One, or both, have always been there when we eat in. They're always determined to make sure that the dining experience is as enjoyable as possible.
There aren't enough old-fashioned delis in South Florida (especially Deli's where you can buy various knishes, salads, lox, whitefish and delicious meats)...but, as long as Pomperdale's is open for business, we'll be happy!!

Walked in 5 minutes before close and they were so nice. We offered to take it out and they said no you can sit and eat. Both of us had the New Yorker sandwich. It was killer! Definitely go back the next time in Ft Lauderdale

Very typical New York city style classic deli complete with all the appropriate characters on both sides of the counter.
The owners and staff are very hard working and appreciative. Lunch orders were taken quickly and efficiently with a good sense of urgency and respect, which unfortunately seems to be harder to find every day.
The food will not disappoint and is priced competitively compared to similar establishments.
There's really no downside to stopping here if the delicatessen experience is what you're after. The food is great and so is the service. SO, if you're in the mood for some great food in the classic Manhattan deli atmosphere, go there.
