The Foxy Brown

Had lunch today. Best French onion soup. Everything made my tastebuds Happy. Or maybe it was the employees who were very conscious of their cleanliness and the restaurant’s. Good management in these trying times. Now if customers would just wear masks when walking around we’d all be safer.

Such a delight! The restaurant is super clean and everything is well spaced. We started off with the donut holes that were fantastic. For our meal we shared the chicken and waffle sandwich and the short rib Benedict because we couldn’t decide which one we wanted. Both were absolutely amazing and we devoured our plates. My boyfriend ordered the luck of the Irish cocktail and it was amazing. A nice kick to start off the morning. Mariah our waitress was fantastic. It was our first time here and we will absolutely be back!

I always consider the big three when reviewing restaurants: food quality, service and atmosphere. I give Foxy five starts because it easily exceeds all three. In essence it is Foxy. The restaurant is smaller and reminds one of a NYC venue except the outside patio in the winter. Cozy and with character I describe it.

Known for their short rib pasta and pot roast it has some offerings you would expect from colder climates. My short rib pasta was quite rich and contained plenty of meat. They offer a nice list of cocktails including the vanilla old fashion, which pleasantly was not too sweet.

What I really like about Foxy was just how pleasant the servers were during a busy time. I felt like I was a regular even though I had never dined there before. It's this combination that would certainly bring people back including me.

My husband and I stopped by here for dinner during a visit and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the atmosphere, and the service. We were greeted outside the door with a smile, and our server Liz was amazing. We both ordered from the specials menu. My husband got the prime rib with the brussel sprouts, and I had a pear salad with grilled chicken and a side of deviled eggs. We shared the strawberry shortcake for dessert, which was a savory but sweet variation we enjoyed. Everything was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable.

This place is very popular apparently. We actually never even made it inside of the restaurant. We settled for a seat on the back patio. They had cooling fans out while you ate. They also provided water and a tent for coverage as you waited. Once seated, the service was prompt and the recommendations were great. The food was delicious and their iced coffee really hit the spot. Once we were done, they brought us cold towels which was a very nice touch.
