Dunns River Island Cafe Hallandale Beach

I originally gave 5 stars on Grubhub for my first order which was perfect but after the last two orders I have to revise and sadly say food was incorrect both times. Oxtail was mostly fat and even after speaking directly with a rep requesting sauce on the side in a separate container which I would have willingly paid additionally, they still put on the rice. Restaurant has the potential to be amazing as the food is full of flavour but quality needs major improvement if I'm to order there again.

Great place for island cuisine. Service and drinks are great! The lunch special with brown stew chicken or curry chicken comes with peas and rice and cabbage. This meal is under $6 and quite filling. The lobster is always tender and the portion size is reasonable. If presentation means a lot, then Dunns River is the place because their plates come out photo ready. Seafood, poultry and beyond is on the menu and so far, all that I've tried was savory.

What a pleasant surprise a Jamaican restaurant with an upscale ambience. The food is the best around I go as far as to say the best in South Florida. No to mention the attention to detail and presentation. I have been in search of a Jamaican restaurant of this caliber and I am here to say bar none way ahead of the rest. The bar is set by Dunns River Island Cafe. So if you are in search of a place to enjoy a sumptuous and mouth watering dining experience look no further. Go and check it out for yourself and then spread the word. The only thing that it's lacking is adequate parking but there is parking available across the street in the adjacent plaza. So I would highly recommend this place. The staff are very friendly and attentive don't just take my word for it go see for yourself

The food was so delicious! Literally everything was amazing. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff is friendly and entertaining.
