This site is my first choice place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a good lunch, this is the place that comes first to my head. splendid and many types of food and a large menu.helpful team, and pleasant spirit. Also important, the charge is fair. I praise this place with pleasure.
Nice experience needing to get by boat to restaurant. Crab cakes were very good. Price for them was ridiculous. Way too expensive!
Biggest complaint is the chairs are terribly uncomfortable. All wood no cushioning and poor style. My but hurt as well as my back. You can’t lean back cause it hurts your spine. I hope they read this and make improvements. I won’t go back until these matters are addressed.
Crab cake was amazing. Had the seafood platter, was bland, and portion was small for the price. Wish they had a bigger selection for deserts. Why no port? Cool little place, but looks like no upkeep has been addressed.
My husband and I had an amazing time at Cap’s. Samm, one of the bartenders, was phenomenal. We had no idea this place had so much history and everyone was so fantastic. The food was amazing.
My one suggestion if you’re going to go is not to wear heels. Feel free to dress casual. But don’t expect to have a casual experience.
Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in the area!
Our meal was perfectly delicious. The popovers (rolls) were baked fresh and still warm when brought to our table.
Melissa was great!!
Told us the Cap's story, the past famous & infamous visitors, and took really good care of us.
Try the snapper made "Johnny" style....so good!
The hearts of palm salad is one of a kind and their key lime pie is authentic and scrumptious!
Their crab cakes are famous. The bacon wrapped scallops are so good.
Everything there is fresh and made to order.
The ferry ride there and back was such a cool novelty. Hope Cap's remains where it is for many more years!! What a treat.
The bar and yellow room are worth seeing...ask about where FDR and Churchill met!
Check their website for story and menu!!
One tip:
Get to the Lighthouse Point Marina to park early! This is where you'll catch the ferry.
And wear low heels or flats.
