I had fried snapper, plantains, steamed cabbage and pigeon peas with rice. It was...Delicious! Very casual dining, affordable, and pleasant staff. Pound cake is so good, you will want more than one slice. Next time, I will try their breakfast menu...

Always in quest of good conch, we decided to give Lynn's a try. We looked at the online menu and not only did they have several varieties of conch, but also guava duff - one of very favorite desserts. So, I knew this was going to be the place for me, even if it was an hour travel time.

This is a tiny space with only a few tables for two, everything is served as take-out, whether you are going to eat there at all.

I ordered the cracked conch with sweet plantains. I'm always slightly suspicious if I'm in a restaurant where conch is the mainstay of the menu and I don't hear a lot of pounding coming from the kitchen. The conch was liberally battered and did seem fresh. However, it had no seasoning and was somewhat oily, as though the cooking oil had not been quite hot enough. The plantains were nicely done and the mac and cheese was okay, not great.

My huge disappointment was that the guava duff, and some other items. are only available on Fri. and Sat.! This really should have been mentioned on the menu. Had that been the case, we wouldn't have made the trip until another night.
