Nice ambience and super attentive service. The food was fresh and delicious. Will clearly recommend this restaurant to friends. Reasonable prices and generous portions. Good job.

Loooooved it. The chicken sausage was amazing! The pretzels the serve as apps are to die for! Service is good. Ambiance is legit: German patrons, loud, all drinking beer! Entrees are actually very good: I have had the chicken paprika and fish, both pretty good. Totally coming back!

Very authentic German restaurant located on Atlantic right off US1. Fair prices. Excellent food. Erratic staffing. The decor makes you feel as if you’re in a quaint little bistro on the main street in Munich, beer steins adorn all the walls. Their wiener schnitzel is to die for. I like it with spätzle and their boiled potatoes. Even the bread they bring out before the meal is a German pumpernickel. Of course they carry many other typical German dishes like bratwurst, sauerbraten and scrumptious potato pancakes. Desert is heavenly. We always order the Apple Strudel a la mode. Checkers can get very busy on season so expect to bring your patience. Off season though is my favorite time to go, less crowded and not as rushed. If you like German beer, there’s no better place to enjoy it than Checkers Old Munchen.

Very relaxed and enjoyable place to eat! The service and taste was excellent with many ethnic food/drink options and combinations. Very helpful waitstaff that recommended delicious entrees, too full to order desserts but will return next time with a plan. Amazing promotion ongoing for the Beer Steins, you will want to partake. I spent 5 yrs in Germany and highly recommend this locale.
