Amazing Chicago Style Subs and Hot Dogs, I spoke with a gentlemen who frequents this restaurant and he's originally from Chicago, he states "it can't get any closer to taste like the Chicago hot dogs and Subs! I think they ar delicious!
Here is your answer to real Chicago style food South Florida! I'm so glad I took the drive to experience this spot! Been back twice now lol From the consistency of the food and service you cant ask for more. Thank you chi town owners your doing a great job! DA BEARS, DA BULLS, DA CUBS!
You will miss it unless you know where ya going, sitting in the corner of a little strip mall. Boy can they put a hot dog together! Anyway you want it! They have other items too...buy never ate them. I love my dogs, and the fries seem endless, a bunch! Go enjoy - it's a short & flip-flops kinda place.
Went here for the first time and ordered a Chicago-style hot dog. Amazing. Then I went ahead and ordered a Italian beef sandwich. It's one of the biggest sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Only finished half of it and ended up taking the other half home. Great food, authentic, and I'll be coming back well worth the trip from Miami.
As a Chicago native, I approve. I've had many "Chicago-style" hot dogs in different parts of Florida, but they're never quite up to spec. They use, for example, non-Vienna beef, ketchup possibly by default (????), the bun isn't a poppy seed bun, pickles are wrong, no tomatoes, etc.
BUT
With this place, you get the real deal. Actual Vienna beef (with the snap), no ketchup standard, a real poppy seed bun, a pickle spear, 2 tomato slices, mustard, onions, relish and celery salt (important!). There's a selection of fries, which I tried the shoestring style, and they were pretty good -- on par with a smaller Chicago hot dog chain up north.
For the Chicagoans, I would liken this place to Pop's -- the shoestring fries especially, because they're probably sourced from the same supplier. Five stars from me.
Chicago man approves!
