    We went for dinner - had the california club sandwich and the portion was large and food quality was good. Our waitress was great and constantly stopping by to check on us. Great service

    This is my local Chili's where we usually get great service. However, Sunday at 1:00 pm a waitress doing double-duty as hostess gave us a 20-30 minute wait time, even though I saw several empty tables. She explained the kitchen staff was overwhelmed by a large party of two dozen or so. Not wanting to wait and take a chance on slow service we went elsewhere.

    The food is and always will be Chili's, but Robert the server made it worth coming back sooner. Not just for our table, but other guests at other tables.
    A table with two Moms, four kids under 5 years old, not a problem for Robert. With am ever decreasing socially engaged families at dinner. He did a magic trick for them. Then came back 20 minutes later and did another.
    A table behind my wife appeared to have an issue unrelated to his service. What did Robert do? He took ownership without bringing in a manager offering a desert "on me" (himself).
    In closing, his energy may take a moment to get used to, but once you do. He is more than a waiter. He is all in in making everyone's dining experience more than the usual dinner at Chili's.
