Chesapeake House

Nice restaurant.waitress was great. I am from Maryland and I Love seafood! This crab cake is good however, it needs less filler, more crab! Mussels were dry, and there should be at least either a vegetable crab soup or cream of crab! Their soup was corn chowder with crab! I didn't get because of the corn. Add a few more recipes and I think they might have a sweet Restaurant! I will be back to try something else!

We had the crab cake dinner and they were good, very little filler. The french fries are the real deal...hot and not "seasoned". We'll be returning for lunch to try the soft shell crab which is hard to find here.

The best place in town for excellent food! Crab cakes are absolutely delicious! Tonight my husband and I enjoyed the mussels in garlic and steamed shrimp! Chef Joe is amazing and his talent for cooking will not disappoint you! The staff, Teresa and Zoe were attentive and professional! Chesapeake is definitely one of our favorite restaurants!

Quite lunch as we were the only customers at 1 pm. Being from Maryland we sampled the crab dip and crab cake. Fair in taste and price. No crab soup on the menu but they do have lunch specials. Please give Chesapeake House a try. Something for everyone.We asked to meet the owner (cook) since we were told he was from our old neighborhood. Unfortunately, we never saw him.

Decided to check out this new restaurant in the area because we are from southern PA & trips to MD for seafood, particularly a great crab cake were a must. Stopped in after hiking in the area arriving mid-afternoon. We were seated in the bar area & received very attentive service. We both ordered the crab cake platter and it did not disappoint! Large size with lots of lump crab meat and seasoned just perfectly! House dressing for salad was delicious. Would love to see scallops added to the menu & perhaps a baked or twice baked potato or sweet potato fries to the sides selections. We will definitely be back!!
