Captain Crab Seafood and Sushi

Atmosphere isn't that Great- bright light's and Loud Music.
Music should be more like Coffee House setting. We ordered Crabs and were expecting steamed Crabs.. They were tasty if you like greasy Crabs they were small. Don't expect them to have knifes or mallots to crack your Crabs with. I may return just to try something different on the menu.

Service was prompt and attentive. I had the special; shrimp, crab legs, lobster tail, corn, and a couple of potatoes cooked in a bag. My wife had the fried oyster basket. We also ordered sushi including uni.

I probably won't get a bag meal again. Things cook at different rates. The potatoes were just a bit under cooked, the corn was overcooked, the shrimp were slightly overcooked, the crab legs were correctly done, and the lobster tail was very overcooked to the point of sticking to shell. There was plenty of butter.

My wife's oyster basket looked excellent and the oysters were wonderful. Not too much breading, cooked just right, and they were nice sized.

The sushi was good. They did not have uni. We were told it was sold out. We arrived at 5:12 pm and were seated right away, so I don't think they ever had any. I would prefer to know it is not available than to be told after ordering and being disappointed.

We will probably go back. Sushi and oyster basket were good.

We went for the opening and it was a great meal. The seafood was fresh and prepared perfectly. The wait staff were attentive and our meal came out quickly. We chose the special which was a mixed seafood with 1/2 lb. Of snow crab, 1/2 lb of shrimp, and a lobster tail. It was served as a personal boil with your choice of seasonings new potatoes and corn. We will put Captain Crab on our restaurant rotation.

We drive by often to see if Captain Crab is open yet! We are excited for this restaurant to have freshly caught, beautifully prepared seafood in our community. There are several water-front dining experiences available, but I think many of us would just prefer to have a clean restaurant with polite and friendly staff who are capable of taking every seafood item and turning it into the BEST tasting seafood we have experienced in years. We hope your menu includes Great seafood dishes, interesting specials, maybe one steak or one chicken item, and the ability to accommodate special dietary needs such as allergies or Gluten Free items, etc w/o making a huge fuss over the customer who needs it.
