Celtic Ray Public House

Wow, this place is great. Incredibly friendly service and the food was cooked perfect and there was plenty of it. I truly felt that I got my moneys worth. I had bangers and mash and the bangers were very authentic. The black and tan beer was a proper black and tan poured perfectly. Nothing worse then a black and tan not poured right. I was dining alone so I ate at the bar and both the bartender and waitress working that shift were fantastic. It was very busy but you wouldn't have known it by the service I received. The place was very clean, including the bathrooms. This place made you feel welcome and I can't wait to go back.

We were here tonight to enjoy our favorite band, Karibbean Groove. We tried the Jamison Bread Pudding which was awesome. Check out the Disc Golf putting in the bar which was an unexpected touch. Awesome

A welcoming Oasis of good food, drink, and camaraderie. The best Fish and Chips in Florida, delicious savory pasties and curries, perfectly poured pints of Guinness (and a wide variety of others) all served by a friendly staff. If you're lucky you'll catch father and son Publicans, the owners Kevin & Max Doyle, hanging around cracking jokes and having a pint of their own with their patrons. If that wasn't enough to pull you in, they have consistently good entertainment every other day of the week so you get dinner and a show as well. This corner-pub has become a cornerstone of Punta Gorda, and should be on every newcomers list of must-go places.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Also tried the chicken pastie and it was good as well. Our bartender, Christian managed our large party and did a knock out job! We live in Sarasota, but will definitely bring family back to experience this place!
