Dough Bar Pizza Pasta

*The parking lot here is always full, so we decided to try it out.
*The place looks like it would cater to a younger crowd, but everyone appeared to be 65 or older.
*Waitress was super great, took all our orders, didn't write anything down, and nothing was messed up.
*Salad was really tiny.
*The Lobster Ravioli was awesome! The Spaghetti with Meatballs was ok. Not that it was bad, it just tasted exactly like it was from a can of Chef Boyardee.
*The table was really low, which made you have to lean way over to eat over the plate.
*Not a bad place, I'll have to come back to try some other menu items.

Tasty food! The prosciutto & arugula pizza was very good. The place is super cute inside, and does have outdoor seating. We will be back!

Once again, I must've been a restaurant critic in my past life. I was upset with this place in the best way possible. First the parking looked full so I almost drove right past it, but the reviews drew me in. Not only was it ample seating, but there wasn't a wait time. I think the lot is shared with the spot next door. To be blunt the food was not the best I've had in my life, but its far ahead of run of the mill chain restaurants. I did my usual quality check. Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. My wife did a white pizza. What got me was the service. I was immediately angered by the concern for my satisfaction and how adjustments were made on the fly to go above and beyond. It was unreal. Is this what makes a 5-Star restaurant 5 stars? I'm still upset because I gave so many other pizza places so many excuses. Its very rare I expect to spend time and money on a product, and then feel like I'm important in the aftermath. If you want a safe bet on an experience that's truly worth it, don't take my word for it.

I moved to Port Charlotte about 3 years ago, and until tonight, still hadn't found THE pizza spot. I read a review on the pizza at the Dough Bar from @MoeTrainEats a few days ago on Facebook. He gave it a rating of 95 out of 100. That was good enough for me! And after trying it tonight, I totally agree. Definitely worth the drive! And since I have a pizza bag in my car, it was still piping hot by the time I got back to PC from PG. It was absolutely delish!! I had the pleasure of smelling it on the way back home, and didn't even think about taking the pic first, before I started devouring!! The sauce was scrumptious, and it had the perfect amount. I don't like a lot of sauce on my pizza, and many times I have to ask for light sauce because they put way too much on. I ordered the pie with pepperoni, banana peppers, and meatballs on half. What I loved best about it was the crust!! Crispy, but with no burn spots. My friend got the lasagna, that came with a side salad. He loved the taste & the sauce, but thought that it was a bit runny. Maybe there was too much sauce? 🤷‍♀️ Regardless...we went there for the pizza, and it did not disappoint!!! Dough Bar is my new pizza spot!! Besides the food, it was easy to find, plenty of parking, food was ready when I got there, and the woman that greeted me at the door was friendly, professional & efficient. Thank you Dough Bar and thank you @MoeTrain for the recommendation!! ❤

Loved our meal! The wood fire pizza is a must try! The atmosphere is really nice and modern. Wait staff is super friendly and attentive. Drink selection was great. Also please try the deserts! 10/10 would recommend.
